Case Studies
For the United States Postal Service, we designed and produced the first four 3D holographic stamps ever made for the US Government. These award winning stamps depicted scenes of space exploration -- past, present and future, from landing on the moon to the International Space Station. Two of million copies of each holographic stamp was issued by the Postal Service.
ACAC, a fitness and wellness club considered one of the best in the country, was looking to introduce their new 40,000 square foot facility specifically geared for kids, Adventure Central. We brought their mascot, Ace, the talking super-dog to life in 3D as a tour guide for the future facility. ACAC made 12000 copies of the film and sent it out to future prospects all throughout the WestChester, Pennsylvania area.
Christ Episcopal Church commissioned us to produce a photo-realistic flythrough of their church, in the historic downtown region of Charlottesville, Virginia, after a proposed major renovation. The purpose of this animation was not only to raise funds, but at the same time show parishioners that the Church would still keep the look and feel they have grown accustomed to, even with the addition of a new organ console and other modifications.
We have also developed animated clips for
Preston Capital Management, a real estate developer in Maryland. Through animation, we showed potential investors how certain existing industrial properties could be partially demolished and reconstructed to accomodate not only storage facilities, but new retail and office spaces as well. With this powerful visual medium, developers at Preston have made presentations all up and down the east coast to raise capital for their projects.
For
Sperry Marine/Northrop Grumman we did two animations, showing ship builders the advantages of their Gyrofin systems -- and explaining how these computer controlled fins effectively cancel the effects of stormy waters on container and cruise ships. One of the animations was a marketing piece, while the other was a longer, technical piece with a narrator. These animations have become the central pieces of their sales and tech presentations.
We produced an animated flythrough of the tall ship the Bounty for
Rubicon Productions, as part of a live-action documentary for TV that told the story of that ship and its ill fated voyage. The Bounty's original mission was to retrieve breadfruit as a cheap source of nutrition -- our part was a CG flythrough of the Bounty, showing how the captain's quarters were retrofitted to carry breadfruit seedlings.
